Why life groups?
The first act of Jesus' ministry was to form a life group. Jesus' disciples followed His example, clearly showing the way they understood how the Church must carry out its mission. When the Apostles contacted new audiences with the gospel they immediately gathered people into homes, established them in sound doctrine, appointed leaders to maintain order in the household, and intentionally mobilized them to go out on mission to continue the cycle of proclaiming the gospel. So, we think that organizing people into life groups is the way that Christ and His Apostles taught us how to establish churches and advance the kingdom of God's glory on earth.
What is a Life Group?
A life group is a small gathering of people who meet throughout the week in homes and other locations to form gospel communities in our city. They meet face-to-face and heart-to-heart to share life together - eating, praying, studying and serving in grace-dispensing relationships, to deepen their faith in Jesus, shape their lives by His gospel and work together to be agents of His new creation in our world.
