Missionary Care

The purpose of our Missionary Care love group is to connect with and encourage female missionaries who are affiliated with Cornerstone Church. Most of our missionaries were at one time attenders of Cornerstone and sent out into the mission field. We want to stay connected with these ladies and provide prayer support, encouragement, love and connection to home.

Military Wives

The purpose of our Military Wives love group is to love and encourage military wives at Cornerstone and in the Anchorage community.  Military wives face challenges specific to military life, often finding themselves alone while their husbands are on deployment, and the inherent difficulties of frequent moves. These challenges can make it particularly difficult to get connected in a positive, Christ-centered community.

This group exists to reach out to military wives with the love of Jesus, offering community and encouragement.  

Meals

The purpose of our Meals Team is to help ladies in a time of need, as they experience sickness, birth, surgery, death, etc. This enables ladies to come alongside of other ladies to encourage, meet tangible needs, connect and build relationships.

Helping Hands

Helping Hands ministry is a group of ladies who are willing to roll up their sleeves and lend a hand. Whether it is cutting out supplies for children’s ministries, cleaning the church kitchen, or providing support to ladies in the church in various ways, these ladies meet tangible needs in the church body.

Golden Jewels

Golden Jewels is a ministry of love for our widows of any age and single ladies, 62 and older. This ministry is intended to provide love, support, and encouragement through relationship. Every 2nd Wednesday of the month this group gathers for a luncheon at the church, as well as engaging in other activities throughout the year to foster relationships.

College Care

College Care ministers to students who have attended Cornerstone and are attending college full-time (either at home or abroad). The purpose of this ministry is to stay connected with these students while they are in college, being a conduit of love, support and encouragement through this transitional season of life.

Love Groups

Our Love Groups are intended to bring community and encouragement to ladies who are in similar seasons of life. Our current Love Groups are:

• Reaching the Heart of Your Toddler (0-5 yrs). Led by Shannon Moore.

o Build community, share ideas and struggles, pray for one another and explore ways to prepare young hearts to receive a Biblical foundation. We will also share practical parenting ideas for day-to-day life with toddlers.  

• Women in the Workplace - Led by Karen Braquet

o  Connecting and encouraging women, wives and mothers who have careers in the workplace.

• Moms of Teens and Young Adults. Led by Tara Wariner & Marianne Post

o  Monthly discussions, prayer and fellowship. Come share life experience, give & receive advice, and be encouraged in your parenting! Meets 1st Tuesdays 6:30-8:30 PM at Cornerstone Church in Room 207.

• Grandparenting Together - Led by Linda Turner

o  Women gathering quarterly to discover God’s purpose for us as grandmothers and the intentional role we have in the lives of our grandchildren. Come be encouraged, find fellowship and join in prayer with other ladies called to be godly grandmothers.

• Let’s Share Our Faith - Led by Tina Thompson

o  Believing women praying, preparing and encouraging one another to share the gospel of Jesus Christ no matter your experience level. We will use the GroupMe app for communication and sharing. This is meant to be a compliment to your regular Bible Studies not a replacement.

There are many ways for ladies to connect and build relationships at Cornerstone.  Come and see what the Lord is doing! You will be blessed, encouraged and strengthened, as you grow in your understanding of who He is, what He has done, and what He desires to do through you.
