Operation Christmas Child

Our goal is to pack 200 shoeboxes this year!

Cornerstone Church has been collecting Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes for many years. For some, though, packing a shoebox online is a more prudent option. If that's you, praise God!

For anyone who would like to pack a shoebox, pick one up at the East or West entrance, fill them and bring them to the church no later than 3PM on Sunday, Nov 24th. Don’t forget to add $10/box for international shipping!

After the 24th, you will need to take them to one of the drop-off locations at Mountain City Church or Changepoint by Monday the 25th.

What to pack in your shoebox

For the past 13 years, Cornerstone Church has had the opportunity to participate with the Angel Tree program of Prison Fellowship Ministry. This amazing program is set up to bless children whose parents are incarcerated. In that 13 years we have been able to bless 366 children at Christmas time!

Starting Sunday, Nov 10th, we plan to have the Angel Tree in the hallway with names of children in need this Christmas. Visit the table, get your tag and bring your gift back to the church by the end of the month.

You will also have opportunities to help wrap presents, or set up for the big party that is hosted here on Dec 7th where the family’s can receive their gifts.

In the month of October, Proyecto Fe hosted their fundraising dinner at Cornerstone Church. The following Sunday, they set up their table in our hallway to offer an opportunity for families and individuals to sponsor a child in Guatemala for the year. Proyecto Fe reported that Cornerstone members sponsored more children than they had seen in the past! Great job, church family!

In past years, the kids of our AWANA program have participated in food or clothing drives in the month of November. This year, however, we have chosen to sponsor one of the children in need in Guatemala. For the month of November, AWANA Kids will be encouraged to bring in their change and raise $530 to sponsor that child. Donations will be collected each Monday night, but can also be dropped off at the church office during the week.

Cornerstone Church Malawi, Africa needs tennis shoes for their people.

During the month of November, bring your new and lightly-used tennis shoes for children to adult sizes. Drop off your donation at both East and West entrances to the church. Look for the silver bin with the sign!
