Beth is the daughter of a medical missionary and spent nine of her growing up years in West Africa.  It was as a young girl that she received a saving faith in Jesus Christ.  Bob grew up in rural northern California where God used a group of godly peers and men in church to draw him to Himself while in high school.

They met while attending Seattle Pacific University, were married after graduation and then the adventure began.  Beth started a teaching career before transitioning to her stay-at-home mom career with their four children.  When the children were older, she was called to get a degree in counseling.  She then began her next career as a counselor at Cornerstone Clinic.  Bob had a career as a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, most of it here in Anchorage, and retired in 2012.

The blessing of four children, John, Becky, David, and Christy have brought an increasing blessing of grandchildren in their life.  A college friend invited them to Cornerstone in 1981 and they have been there ever since.  Bob has always sensed a call to leadership and has walked in obedience to that call here at Cornerstone Church since the mid-90s.  God certainly is good.
